We did a 2 hour walk up and around Lanthwaite woods this morning.

No rain!

Melbreak is the fell on the right...Crummock Water is in the centre, and you can see Rannerdale Knotts and the Buttermere fells in the distance.

In 1797, JMW Turner painted a watercolour of this view from this very spot.
