Hope

The storm arrived as forecast yesterday evening. Hail smacked against the windows and the wind whipped around the corner of the house. Fortunately it calmed down as quickly as it arrived although Merlin seemed a bit shaken as he’d attempted to nip into the garden just as the hail landed!

So these past few days have been ones of wet and windy dog walks here in the village and at Emsworth, checking on the allotment and eating up the festive food leftovers.

Now we beckon in a new year.

Gratefuls:
- To speak with Steve and feel encouraged to do what feels right at work and to be inspired by his cycling extravaganzas.
- To see the witch hazel plants in bloom in the garden.
- To walk around the village in the early evening enjoying seeing people gathering for new year celebrations but not feeling obligated to be part of it.
