Winter Beech

Went for a walk in the forest and across the heath at West Harling again this morning - it's our nearest sand-based so not-too-muddy area. The sun was out earlier, but by the time we started the clouds had reasserted their dominance over the sky again & the light, particularly in the forest, was flat & grey. It seemed like an opportunity to use ICM to give an impression of the colours, from the leaf-covered forest floor to the saplings still retaining some copper-coloured leaves to the ivy-covered trunks of the main beeches in this part of the plantation.
