The Avenue of the Giants

On to the second leg of our venture south. Decided to drive part of the Avenue of the Giants. It is a world-famous scenic drive that is a 31-mile portion of old Highway 101, which parallels Freeway 101 with its 51,222 acres of redwood groves. All I can say is WOW!!!! Wish we would have had the time to drive the whole thing. So much beauty. Those tall trees will leave you in awe. We drove about 10 miles of it then decided to get back on the main highway and make our way south. We met some people for dinner in Oakland California then slept in a MUCH more comfortable bed in our hotel :) I was pretty tired after all that driving
