New Year Holiday

We started the day with a bit more building of the epic Christmas lego, the had the last of the Christmas leftovers for lunch and packed for our New Year holiday.

There was a sprinkling of slushy snow on the ground as we set off, and when we stopped for a walk at Loch Leven there was a biting wind blowing. 

The roads up to the hotel looked icy but were perfectly passable, so we arrived and unloaded the car.  Immediately CyclopsJnr found a kids magic show to attend while the grown-ups dealt with finding the room and getting the luggage in.

We went to a drinks reception (some people were in black tie - we weren't quite that smart!) before a lovely dinner in the restaurant.  By the time we finished dessert (profiteroles) CyclopsJnr professed himself exhausted and ready for bed!
