Hazy Days
Right now Singapore is experiencing the worst 'haze' and air quality on record.
It is caused by palm oil plantation owners in Sumatra burning off large areas of land and is making the whole city smell like an old barbeque.
Today the PSI (Pollutant Standard Index) hit 371. A record high, normal levels would be under 50, over 200 is considered hazardous particularly to children, the elderly and those with lung or respiratory complaints. Needless to say 371 is considered 'STAY INDOORS' levels.
F's work have issued face masks to all employees and have said that if levels are above 300 in the morning everyone should work from home.
This is the 'view' from my desk this afternoon - believe it or not it has cleared up a bit.
