It's Christmas!

It's funny how you wait for Christmas all year long, and when it finally arrives, it is (almost) just another ordinary day! I have no idea how G was up so early, seeing as we didn't get to bed until 3 AM!! That Hilde!

It was a more relaxed time in the kitchen as Hilde brought a beautiful piece of pork, so G opted for (a large) chicken rather than turkey. I laid the table, and we enjoyed a relaxed morning. Lunch was around 2 PM. The spread looked incredible! We all tucked in and loved everything we ate washed down with Veuve Cliquot! G flambeed the Christmas pudding, which tasted fabulous with her homemade rum butter! We then crashed out on the sofa for a few hours, watching The Star DVD.

We ventured out to the Sol Sky Bar in the evening as the Shopping Festival fireworks moved to the Creek for the next ten days. Our guests loved the experience - being outdoors in December without being cold, drinking a (non-alcoholic) Mai Tai and watching fireworks. I couldn't believe I was ready for something to eat at this stage, so we had a pizza and fries!

C & I were in our beds as soon as possible. G & Hilde stayed up and chatted!
