Wound up in Wexford

Crocodile bridge

A long drive back to San Jose in rain most of the way. E (our guide) said 4 hrs. The traffic made it nearer 7.

We stopped briefly, and luckily during an equally brief break in the rain, to admire the crocs from a good distance.  This bridge is well known as the crocodile bridge - there are nearly always crocs visible in the river beneath.  Today there were at least a dozen.

In extras, a “view” of the hills from the crocodile bridge.

This evening, a final dinner. It’s the first time we’ve done a group tour like this, and we have been lucky with our fellow travellers. It was E’s birthday, so some of the group had organised a small birthday cake. He’s been a great guide. Always helpful, always upbeat. He checked our onward travel arrangements for tomorrow, got confirmation and the name of the taxi driver collecting us.  Fortunately, our flight tomorrow is not too early.

We look forward to continuing our Costa Rican break.
