The sun came out late morning so we decided to walk into town via a very scenic route. It normally takes us 10 minutes but we took a 2.5 mile detour, up some very steep hill. We went through the Trinity area of the town, which was partly demolished through a slum clearance programme in the 1960s. Before it had all been flattened, it was found to be about 100 years older than previously thought was therefore one of the earliest purpose-built industrial housing areas in the country.
