Iris

Today was forecast as the best day this week but it started with some heavy showers as I headed off to a supermarket.  I had a few items to get and couldn't resist buying a few more mincepies.  By the time I was home the weather had improved and the sun was out.

After lunch I decided to go for a quick visit to Bicton Gardens and bumped into several friends while I was there.  This rather splendid Iris (Dietes grandiflora) was flowering in a greenhouse.
