Bullfinch

I was really pleased to see a female bullfinch at the feeder today although it is unusual that there was no male with her, they haven’t been visiting us for some time. She was gobbling up the sunflowers and chasing off any other smaller birds although the chaffinch on the left stood her ground.
It’s been a brighter day with no rain but much colder and there is snow forecast for tomorrow. I didn’t do much other than a food shop this morning and drive my son to the airport this afternoon for his flight back to Belfast at 5pm, judging by the number of cars dropping off I think it’s a popular day to head home!
