Punch drunk??

Rain overnight - quite a bit.  Lovely to feel the sunshine's warmth by late morning but it didn't last and the grey returned.  In the meantime the 8 or more blackbirds that have taken up residence were still scavenging in the garden under the plum tree.  Quite a bit of the fruit is quite ripe now and I'm wondering whether there's a bit of fermentation going on that's drawing the birds in?  If so, my garden must have the reputation of being a 'free house' in the avian world.  I'm not so sure this chap is old enough to be drinking though haha.
