Site Of Former Hat Factory

I was meeting the recently-renewed friend at the Golden Age to see The Boy And The Heron so walked in to Surry Hills. The vacant site on the right, near Central, was a former hat factory, empty for ages until it burnt down last year. It had been slated for redevelopment as a hotel. Commendably, it still will be, with the huge timber beams and salvageable bricks re-used.

The film was weird, best avoided by anyone with bird phobias.
