Funny Old Day
So, having got home late last night, I was woken at an ungodly hour, as I put on my alarm clock (usually I use the alarm on my phone), but I forgot I last used it when Alexander went to hospital and we had to get up at 6.10am to give him breakfast.... after leaping up at 6.10 we decided we'd even have breakfast before going out.
A lot of activity was happening in the office too, as we launched the Our Economy report today. If you live in Scotland, you might well have seen something in the news about it. Added to that, we had some 'cake and staring' for Lindsay's birthday. After all that excitement, I was planning a relaxing evening in the sunshine. Which sort of happened.
It turned out that during our unusually early start I forgot to pick up my keys. When I got home with Alexander I realised we couldn't get in. I had to ask if Alexander could use next-door's toilet.... then we had to go back out and intercept Mr HPW on his way home from a meeting. I bought an emergency picnic on the way.
But, it was a lovely evening, and we parked by the Botanic Gardens and met him off the subway. The Kibble Palace was shut but there was a choir rehearsal going on inside; Alexander nearly climbed in the window.
When we got home, Alexander said "I need to go to the toilet in that house". Uh-oh... Think it might be my bedtime now!
