Mergansers and more

I decided to check out the marsh side of Rainbow Haven Beach today. I caught a pair of common mergansers there, the female always looks like she is having a bad hair day. There were several buffleheads there too and one loon.
As I started walking back towards the truck there was a couple people coming towards me with 2 dogs off leash. When they saw me come around a curve towards them they immediately called the dogs back and put them on leash. The woman said that they do jump on people sometimes and I thanked her for putting them on a leash. Not all dog owners are as considerate of others as this couple is.
A quiet afternoon at home, then I decided to have one last drive to see some Christmas lights. I heard that a park in Lower Sackville had the trees along the path lit up so I decided to go see them. I was disappointed, only 3 of the trees were actually lit. Others had lights in them but they were not turned on. The fountain had some icicle lights around it, but it appeared many of the lights were burnt out. Even the Christmas tree that is set up there only had a couple of strings of lights lit. I drove by a couple of other places that I had on my list to see. One had their indoor lights on, but not the outside ones. Another one was only partially lit too. The scene in the extra was the only one that I really liked.
