I had two attempts at making a toastie today.  The first time I got a bit distracted after flipping it over in the frying pan...  Despite the thick smoke in the Kitchen, I could not smell the toastie burning (I have not been able to smell anything since day one of Covid!)...  The smoke alarm went off just as I went back to the Kitchen...  OOOOOPS!
