Storm Gerrit Strikes

The weather became very stormy overnight with strong winds and much rain. 

However, I was shocked to find that one of our Oak trees had been blown down during the night. This is today’s entry.

This was quickly by a 9 hour power failure going from 11.00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. We did enjoy a hot breakfast and a cold lunch. 

Mr and Mrs Dog departed for Edinburgh in the early afternoon as the winds died down.  Pat and I watched Montalbano on an iPad Pro and enjoyed a hot supper after power was restored.

The tree is down and now we have to decide what we will do with it.
