In praise of older cats

Having cats that are heading towards their mid-twenties in age (we have had them since they were tiny kittens, and even have photographs of them taken with old 126 film, before camera phones were in use, lol), does require some adaptations to make their lives a bit easier. 

One of the best of these are the little steps which mean they can get up to beds without having to jump, which they are not very good at doing now in their advanced years. 

We are so lucky that these kitties have such good genes and still have a super quality of life, even if they sleep for most of the day. They still love to be patted and occasionally have mad turns or try to take lumps out of each other.
