RIP Tommy

The Smother Brothers were a folk singing comic duo, who would argue over the meaning of the lyrics. Tom (l.) was the dim witted comic, and Dick was the bright, superior, straight man. When Tom had no answer to Dick’s logic, Tom would stutter, ‘Oh..oh……yeah?, or yell, ‘Mom always liked you best!’

They would go on to host one the funniest and most satiric and controversial TV shows of the ‘60’s.

Tom Smothers died on Boxing Day. For what it was worth, I always liked Tommy best!
