Lotherton Hall
Wednesday 27th December 2023
Having seen an advert in the park yesterday, we went to Lotherton Hall's Christmas Experience today. We haven't been to the hall and park for a very long time (it used to be free and we went a lot!)
We started with a walk around the Wildlife World, which used to be the bird garden. They are expanding it, but a lot of it was out of action today. We did enjoy the penguins though, see extra.
We went into the hall to see their decorations, then down to the Elf village for a Baileys Hot Chocolate. We sat for a while waiting for it to go a bit darker before going on the Festive Woodland Walk but then heavens opened. We sheltered from the rain and as soon as it eased off decided to risk it. It was a nice little walk but it was certainly designed more for young children. The Fairy Dell was cute. By the time we got near then end it was quite dark and their signage to the car park was somewhat confusing, I thought we were going to get stuck in the garden but we eventually found our way out.
It made a nice, different afternoon.
