My thrifty mother-in-law is a keen bargain shopper and Coles shareholder. Canberra never fails to disappoint when it comes to Christmas markdowns, although some dumpy gingerbread “men” were half price at Woolies. We did a taste comparison with my son’s more comely specimens (which won on every scale).
