Cinnamon snowflake

Having watched Christmas bake off last night I thought I’d give the snowflake a try. Think my yeast is a bit old as it didn’t rise as much as I’d hoped but still pleased with it. Also knocked up a lemon meringue pie (ate for tea), mince pies, pavlova and a beetroot cake (for tomorrow).
The big kids arrived this afternoon so there’s been much catching up and playing games. Heading to bed soon as it’s Christmas Eve for us and Santa will do a late delivery overnight.
Our tradition of late Christmas on odd years started when the big kids were little, as they are with their mum on odd years. We carried on when H was too young to know then once he was old enough to know when it really was the 25th he asked to keep waiting till J&L get here, so we’ve carried on. I prefer late Christmas as it’s more relaxed, but others sometimes think it’s weird or even mean that H has to wait.
