On the fence

Well as promised, the day dawned brighter and colder. I'd filled up the bird feeders yesterday, and thrown out some hazelnuts for the squirrel, so it was good to see our little red friend helping himself from the tray on the fence. He even allowed me to open the door a little and poke my camera through, so he was my Blip today.

Mid-morning we set off for a walk in Glasdrum Nature Reserve, on Loch Creran, north of Oban. Unfortunately the sun hadn't quite risen about the intervening hill, so it was only on coming back to the car that the woods were lit up. Not to worry - we had a lovely walk among the oak, birch and hazel with the sound of waterfalls never far away.

After lunch we drove down to Ganavan beach to watch the sunset, but again unfortunately the sun sank into a belt of cloud and the sunset didn't happen, at least not visible to us!

Never mind - a good day with the girls and as it got darker we came home to relax with a cuppa! The forecast for tomorrow is for heavy rain - yum!
