Christmas Eve.

After a leisurely breakfast MrK and I went for a drive with Steve & Lauren to Sedbergh. This is where Mum,  FK and I stayed a couple of years ago, when Liz & Steve were still in rented, but had found Pool House to buy. We had a hot chocolate and a wander around the pretty streets where Sedbergh School is the focus. Essex Cricket play agame up here against Lancashire in the summer. Took MrK into the church to see the 2 beautiful tapestries the locals completed over many years, of the village and surrounds.
The sun popped out for a while so MrK could really appreciate the rich tapestry on land, patchwork fields hugged by rolling hills. Stunning. 
I cooked a salmon dish for mid afternoon and after a snooze we played many card games with laughter and joy. 
All last minute prep finished and a great night sleep awaits.
