Tuatara

We were taken on a great drive today which included a trip to Zealandia - a bird sanctuary right in the heart of Wellington. They have made this area predator free, and it is wonderful.

To see Tuatara up close ( with the help of my new iPhone zoom lens!) was such a treat.

We had 9 to lunch to help eat up the leftovers- which were still amazing! It was a sunny , hot day and everyone enjoyed themselves.

Finally left for home about 5pm and got to Wānaka about 10.30 - thought we weren’t going to make it into Queenstown at one stage, but after lots of circling, the pilot made it.

Billy very pleased to see us- we pick up Frida tomorrow morning.
