When plans change

At 9:30 this morning as we were loading the car we got a call from granddaughter #1 that she was sick and could we have our Christmas tomorrow. She thought she had food poisoning or a stomach bug. She contacted her sister and her dad so we are going to make it happen tomorrow. She was so unhappy about it.

So I made two turkey sandwiches, packed some drinks and chips for Jerry and I to go out for a hike. Santa brought him new boots so it was a good way to break them in. We went to the Bartram Trail just over the state line in Georgia. Did not see another hiker. The trail was in a pine forest which is not very scenic but the trail itself was great. It was set up for biking too so had lots of ups and downs and turns.

Sometimes alternative ideas are good ones. It was so peaceful and quiet in the woods.

Keeping my fingers crossed that Levi is well enough to travel tomorrow.
