Christmas Eve

It was a wild and windy night but by morning the weather had eased. Andy and I walked Merlin and delivered a few final Christmas cards. Then over morning coffee we video chatted with Dad.

The afternoon slid by - lunch, conversation with a neighbour and then a quick trip to the allotment to sure-up some items against the windy conditions. As I walked Merlin in the dark of the early evening, the village was quiet, festive lights shone out and I could see gatherings inside homes. It felt a good way to close the day.

This evening we treated ourselves to a Japanese meal, chatted, played a few quizzes and watched some comedy. Now it feels time for bed.

Wishing you all an enjoyable day tomorrow however you spend it.

Grateful today:
- For company and conversation as well as time outside alone.
- For delicious sushi.
- To hear the church bells ringing out through the village as I lie in bed tonight.
