Christmas Book Tree
We went into London this afternoon to see, among other things, the Christmas "tree" at St Pancras station. This station usually has a large and unusual Chrismas tree, and this year the "tree" is like a book library. At the bottom are booths where people can sit and listen to extracts from a choice of books. If you like the extract, no doubt the bookshop alongside would be delighted to sell you a copy of the full book.
We also found a display of photographic prints on the walkways between Kings Cross, St Pancras and Coal Drops Yard. The prints were from "Apollo Remastered" - the collection of NASA photographs of the Apollo missions to the Moon, superbly restored by Andy Saunders. These images are included in the Moonwalkers exhibition which we didn't have time to see today, but which I hope to visit in the New Year.
