Time Keeping

I finally have a decent, anologe watch, after many years of using smartwatches and fitness trackers. About a month or so ago, my Fitbit packed up and wasn't charging. I'd had it for over 2 years and I genuinely had had enough of the regular battery charges. So when my brother, Caleb, bought me a Swiss Watch, Swatch, for my birthday a few days back, I was thrilled. He asked me what colour I was particularly keen on. I said white, or clear. I got it on Friday evening. It's lovely having a decent wrist watch that I don't need to plug into a charging cable each week, or each night (as was the case with my Samsung Watch). It's reassuring listening to it tick; comforting, actually.

Today has been pretty special but also challenging. We decided to go down route of the German traditions, and open our Christmas presents today. There are a few we're going to open tomorrow. Little Man was spoiled (as per normal) and was pretty happy with his new toys. He also got a few lovely new sweaters.

We went to an evening church service. It felt like pure chaos. We were at a different venue than normal. Crowd control wasn't great and there were a lot of people in a small space and I was struggling keeping tabs on Little Man if I put him down, so he was confined to his pushchair, much to his frustration. There wasn't a crèche for those over the age of 1. After the service and the introduction of new members (Little Man and I, amongst others) to the congregation, Caleb gave the little one and me a lift home.

The extra photo is of the bracelet my parents got me for my birthday. They got me the bracelet to go with my necklace, which I never take off. I'm probably gonna wear the bracelet for as long as I can.
