On our way

After the strong winds in The Netherlands and KLM reducing the number of flights departing from Schiphol, the flight we had booked back to Aberdeen for Christmas was cancelled. We managed to get another one booked which was also then cancelled. After much searching we eventually got seats on a flight to Glasgow. Luckily we have family in Glasgow who are travelling to Aberdeen tomorrow, so, despite being a day later than planned, we will eventually reach our destination.
One quote to Edinburgh from Schiphol was over £1,000...ridiculous. Another site suggested we first fly to Geneva, then to Scotland and another suggested Amsterdam to Berlin, , then on to Aberdeen.
Anyway, we arrived at Schiphol to then see our flight was delayed. Fingers were crossed that it would not be cancelled and luckily enough it left at the delayed time. It's a shame because many people have been left without managing to get alternative travel.
