Down

Woke early and took some cold cure pills although am not sure I’ve got a cold…just aching everywhere  and feeling very drained.
Managed to finish packing and sorting stuff, made up my bed (A&N and his parents are staying some of the time I’ll be away), packed the car with all the presents and food and stuff then sat down with a cup of tea until A&N arrived with Paisley. Good to hear how their Christmas is going with his parents here and their plans for cooking Christmas lunch. They’d brought me a box of local veg from their next door neighbours’ farm so that will be lovely.
Dropped some Christmas cake off with VW who was just getting over a bad cold, then set off down south.despite all the warnings of problematic traffic it was all very straightforward and not that busy. I listened all the way to Any Human Heart by William Boyd which I was a little surprised to get into and emjoy.
Stopped to see P (keeping at quite a distance from him). He’d got into a mess with his iPad and I ended up having to FaceTime Mt to ask him for suggestions. He managed to guide me through so that was good, and I saw AR and Mx with him in high excitement….they were at the Harry Potter Universal stage set and having a fabulous time. What a treat!
P complaining that he’s only been taken for a walk around the corridors once so I went and spoke to one of the managers and said he’d like to get up and about more…we’ll see. Otherwise he was fine and I took some cards from him for people down at his old house.
Dragged myself back to the car and managed the last stretch to T&Kt’s house. They were both out so I let myself in and took some more pills and had a cup of tea. Really can’t work out what’s wrong…the aching and weariness are really my only symptoms but I had a few coughs in the evening. Kt came back from her mums and we chatted about work and her friend who’s ill and Christmas plans then both had an early night
