Generous Souls

A morning of last preps. Then lunchtime ish this gorgeous pair, John and Dawn, had invited us for Cava and oysters! Such a treat & utterly delicious. Really lovely to have some time with them too, it doesn't happen often enough.
Later Nick had invited us over to his for a bbq and a Christmas movie. He made the kids amazing hot chocolate with popcorn and marshmallows half way through too. Home late with very tired but happy kids. We walked into our building and a friend from the streets was with someone else sorting out their heroin...keeping out of the cold. Contrasts...

Today I'm grateful for;
1) John, Dawn, and Nick's kindness...
2) Rainbows around the lounge as the sunlight bounced off a tree decoration Nate made last year.
3) Memories sparked by the oysters - a holiday when I was little, with mom's family in the south of France and my dad's sister, auntie Val.
