Puple Finch

Mornings this time of year can get very noisy, very early! The birds start their noise singing before the sun comes up. After doing some on-line listening research, these Purple Finch (Carpodacus purpureus) and similar House Finch (Carpodacus mexicanus) are the main culprits.

This evening, after work we went to a St Paul Library to hear the George Maurer Trio. This is one of the kick-off events for next weekend's Twin Cities Jazz Festival. Then a late dinner at Dixie's On Grand. Don's favorite place to go for jambalaya.
