Lack of Vitamin A blinds 500,000 children a year

It is estimated that up to half a million children in the developing world go blind each year due to a lack of Vitamin A. Approximately half will die within a year of becoming blind.

Across our international programme we distribute Vitamin A supplements to protect the sight of malnourished children. And as a long-term strategy we assist families to establish a home gardens to grow nutritious vegetables.

This is one of the 22,344 household gardens established by IMPACT Nepal over the past year.
