A triumphant present run
With not-so-wee-Tom on the way after Christmas I was charged to buy toddler bedding and presents. After yesterday’s tangle with Fort Kinnaird traffic I bolted out of bed at P’s clarion call to head to JL’s at the St James complex. It was a mission of grace, precision and enjoyment.
Later we had an early Christmas meal at the Sheep Heid at Duddingston hosted by P and N. A lovely meal in the upper room. My photo was really poor and missed Jh out but it’s a record of nice moments together.
In my gandering about earlier I assayed to Craigleath in search of more cut price decorations. I found bird seed instead and the helpful store man told me the car park had been rammed at 7am. As he gruffly and knowingly said, ‘The 23rd is always the busiest day.’
So we move our pieces forward on the great board of life. Christmas Eve tomorrow.
