Salt dough Santa is a venerable survivor of many Christmases. We don't usually get a tree for Christmas, but hang the decorations on an array of branches.  Usually these are the midwinter prunings from the quince tree in the garden. It grows fast enough to produce a good display.
It's all looking good, and apart from a few small things to do tomorrow, we've mostly caught up with the preparations.
