The House That Changes You From Glum to Great
There is so much about this house that I love. ( theFlying Nun eaves, the sliding garage doors, how it looks so fine from the back . . .) I don't know anything about it or of the people who live in it, but one day I will find out.
I usually come up to it on this street that t-bones into another, and love to think of a person living there coming home from a dreary job, or bad experience, or something making them feel pretty fed up. They pull into the garage, close the door behind them, slog into the house, continue on through the front door and out into a beautiful day.
The lot the house sits on runs through to the next street.
The Extra is the dress I'm giving to Esmé with two cat toys in the pockets, and a book called, "Cat Problems," about a bored house cat. Esmé has a new cat. The plan was for her to come over on Saturday, but because I'm barely over my flu, and because Eric is not sure if he's next, we switched it to me going to her house to give the gift, but then her dad said she has HFMD (hand, foot, and mouth disease) which is very contagious. It's a risky life, ain't it!
