We made it!

Last day of term - phew!

It’s certainly been tough going, so many new things to learn - new students, new colleagues, new policies and procedures, new tech - but all’s ended on a high note. And I got some lovely presents from students. Hopefully, this isn’t face cream like I got last year from one!

It’s not been an easy couple of weeks. Every year group has had end-of-term exams, which had to be marked straight away, plus we found out our entire timetables and classes are changing, as a couple of teachers in our department are leaving and it’s proving impossible to recruit any new ones. The worst bit was that the week before last, I failed two official observations miserably, which was very upsetting, but I was re-observed last week and all was good, no negative feedback at all. Such a relief, it’s horrible being observed.

Apparently, I’m allowed back in January…
