Christmas rush - what rush!

Taken this morning about 10:30 and the local shops certainly aren't busy, just a few customers outside the butcher's shop.  I was struck by my earlier visits into the city centre with the lack of a Christmas buzz.  

This image looked good in colour, it had a filmic feel about it.  But monochrome I think makes you look more deeply into the image.  The owner of the hardware shop always displays his goods outside.  Am always amused by the mix of ladders, bins, mops and brushes and a few other things as well.
