High school basketball typically involves the school's Pep Band playing appropriate tunes to juice up the players.  This is the Director of the pep Band.....she's been with us for many years.....in fact she did her student teaching with me as her primary instructor low these many years ago.

Many of my followers know that I used to teach high school biology at three levels, several other science courses, English, Speech and Remedial Reading.  Jodi did her student teaching in Biology.  I can't remember now if she was a biology major w/a music minor or vise versa.  In any case, she did a fine job as my student and was so well liked that when our band instructor retired, she was offered the job.  She's been with us ever since.

She is truly a Master of the classroom and with constant turnover in the music program always manages to get the most out of every student she has.  She is a tireless worker and possesses those qualities of personality that it takes to receive admiration and respect through vocational and personal excellence.  A true gem.

Didn't I start out with high school basketball?  We had a big game last night (we lost) but the whole pep band was decked out in Christmas attire...everything from reindeer costumes to Santa hats.  Their director is, apparently, one of Santa's reindeer although I'm not guessing which one.  IT'S SILLY SATURDAY!   Silly enough for a basketball game....
