Still Very Windy

I feel like I have been battling the wind all day.Concentrated on making some room in the workroom and getting the bottom block ready for a steam clean.Some progress on both fronts but I haven't got as far as I had hoped.

Helen is starting to look a lot better.Nice visit from Becky this evening before she headed to Asda doing late night shopping.

In the picture is another of my barometers.I have a couple of wall mounted and a very nice one that sits on my desk.I do like real mechanical things and really dislike app based nonsense. I have't had a mechanical watch since I was a kid but it just might be on the cards for next year.Our main house clocks have to be hand wound and they are a joy to hear chiming throughout the day, not as accurate perhaps but that doesn't matter. I can't imagine ever owning an Apple Watch they are just lifeless, charmless, and have not an ounce of style in my eyes.
