Fallen flowers of white oak
The flowers seem to fall when they are still in good shape. This is a common native tree on Norfolk Island. Of course, it isn't an oak at all. It is actually in the same family as Hibiscus, and it's Latin name is Lagunaria patersonia. It is native to Norfolk and Lord Howe Islands. I photographed these flowers in the national park, near the summit of Mt Pitt (only 320 metres).
The extra is a the still standing wall of the old gaol in the historic area of Kingston.
