Geneva and Lake leman
Penultimate day of our mini holiday and we visit Geneva and do the tourist thing. Here I am blipping the harbour and entrance to Lake Leman, the biggest lake in Europe from the north tower of Saint Peter's Cathedral . Made full use of our day travel pass on 2 trains, 2 buses and 2 boats. A very Swiss city, clinically clean and just so even the 'old town' which have a tendency to be world weary. Well worth a visit and deserves more than a day. Had a very nice fish and chip supper in a restaurant on the Lake with kind friends of Creweboy and Mrs C who are back in England. Our thanks to them for accommodation and instant social life and fast track to Geneva! Oh, and the water spout is 140 metres high and has become a symbol of the international city!
