Cardiff Radio
I had a very pleasurable morning at Cardiff Radio in the centre of the city today.
I was there at the behest of RSPB Cymru to talk about my time volunteering along with Louise who is the senior fund-raising co-ordinator for the organisation.
Technically I have "done" radio before, when I got recorded for the Listening Project on Radio 4, again with RSPB Cymru, but that was recorded on location in Newport Wetlands.
Radio Cardiff is local community based station that only broadcasts in the city, but is available as a live stream from their website. It was a great bit of fun watching all the goings on at the studios whilst we were waiting to do our bit.
We were interviewed by Jeremy Rees, who is a DJ at the station (and pictured above). We will feature on the Cardiff In Action show, which will broadcast on the second Thursday of next month. It is a show all about volunteering opportunities that may be available in the local area. It is simply my hope that our piece on there encourages someone to take up volunteering, it is so rewarding. Just having experiences like today make it so much fun!
Why not give it a go!
