Today 50 years ago

When I got back to the florist shop after my last delivery Kathy had this beautiful bouquet waiting for me from my hubby.

We have been married 50 years today. Time passes in a blink.

Most days I feel like that young girl leaning on her guy in front of his favorite ever car, only wiser! That car was traded after the work life started for a truck! He still misses it! Other days I wonder how HE got so old!

The secret to a long marriage…knowing when to remain silent. Having yours, mine and ours in interests and people helps us to grow and change which is definitely a plus for long marriages. Nothing stays the same. He wishes it did but I am all for embracing change.

Mostly just let love be first.
