“We fix them the right way”!!

We took our sessions clock , as it’s called, to a clock repair/restoration place. The owner of this great family business was wonderful ! He got so excited when he saw it , opened it up making sounds of great approval . He said it was made in 1890 and could be restored into a beauty with a beautiful full bodied tone when playing the chimes on it.
Bir R said oh yes we should do this as it’s a family heirloom of Clare’s. I gafawed ! No it isn’t and he forgot that we just found it either at a garage sale or something similar in the early seventies most likely. My folks enjoyed it and fixed it up enough so it worked. When we moved westward we left it because they were using it. After they passed I moved it here to Washington then Oregon and we are finally making a decision to restore it
The owner was so excited he called his brother and sons out to look at it He said it’s rare and it American made . What a. Surprise!
On that note… Happy winter solstice!!
I’m very thankful for your delightful response to pink capped glowing Mt Hood on yesterday’s blip. Thank you all
