Little white house
It was a very welcome bright Sunday morning, P made pancakes for breakfast, and I walked down Vicarage Lane to the bottom of the valley into dazzling, low sun. The Nailbourne, the seasonal trickle of stream which runs along the valley, is not quite in flood but is running very high between its grassy banks and is probably already overflowing into the water meadows a little further along the valley. This little white house has featured in my photos before, as I've always liked the way it sits in the landscape, its dormer window peeping out along the field. Now it's surrounded by sober, winter tones of brown and green; here it is in late May in bright yellow and blue, but I love the winter colours just as much.
