You keep it inside

My headache has lifted!!!

It was still there this morning. Dull but there.  It got heavy and more persistent. 

By the time I got in I could.barelybloft my head 

But I had things to do.  I had baked a birthday cake and a coffee sponge.   I had cheese for cheese and biscuits day I had bags of Christmas presents and of course, my spreadsheet was waiting for me 

We had an apprentice start three months ago ; she has her birthday on Christmas day so.we decided to celebrate it today.

She was gobmacked .

I placed the cake in front of her and sung happy birthday and plonked a.bag down and said 'you must keep this for your birthday 

Then I plonked her Christmas bag down and her jaw dropped 

I told her that the presents were not to be reciprocated.  These were gifts for her with no compensatory gift required. 
 
L then came in and did the same.  

When I turned and looked at her; she was sitting gazing at her gift strewn desk and I said 'are you okay?'

'i can't process this. My brain is struggling'.   

Have a bit of cake. I said.  That worked 

When I sat at.my desk I found two parcels on my desk.   They were from the big boss and his partner.  I popped them in my bag for Christmas

I worked away all day trying not to infuriate  my head .... It started to ease. And as I started to wind up. I dropped a message to my Boss 

'thanks for my parcels'

What parcels?

Ha. Thank M for my parcels 

Ha ha , he says 'the knee pads are from Moira; the desk sign is from me'

Bouf. Surprise gone. 

Might as well open it then. 

So I opened it .....  Look at my new title
