Bottle top bells

Today we (Wanda and I) walked along the Basingstoke canal and went to King John's castle. The canal bed is really unusual because there is no through water flow so there are some weird ecosystems going on. There was no end of beautiful sights, just too many to list.

We stopped at the pub for food and there were Morris Dancers. Their faces were painted black or red and green. I thought there was something a bit Welsh about it (well you know the red and green gives it away really) all; and I see on the Wikipedia entry that they are what's known as border morris dancers from the counties along the border of Wales.

I didn't have a memory card in my camera so I kept having to delete pics from the internal memory to fit others on...that's how much there is to see around here in the summer.
