Sunrise

An amazing sky to start the day and the pic shows it really well - which I wasn't sure it would do. 
It was windy but mainly dry thereafter, with sun later.
A couple of jobs at home, including cutting off the bit of holly tree that's been intruding into my bedroom window pics. I had delayed doing it so I could use the cuttings for decorations.
Then it was a busy day, starting with a shopping trip for the last things for cafe lunch.
Then up to church and cooking the things we'd prepared yesterday, as well as the rest of the meal, and we had it all ready and the kitchen organised for service to start just after 12.30pm. All went smoothly, no complaints (though 1 lady asked if we had any mayonnaise or salad cream to go with her turkey dinner - we didn't!) and not a lot of waste. Lots of compliments and some presents from regular customers.
By the time people had gone a lot of washing up had been done and we sat down for our meal about 2.30pm. 
The team did a good clearing up job and we were home a couple of hours later.
Mr Rat and I had a short walk, fully dark by now, and then not a lot else has been done since.
